New Views, New Vibes: We're Moving to Arlington!

Written By: Chloe Ng
After seven memorable years in our cozy Vienna office, it’s finally time for a change. We’re trading in our old space for a little more breathing room, natural light, and a spot that’s both more accessible and walkable — the Ballston neighborhood and urban center in Arlington, Virginia!
This move has been in the works since March, and as I write this, my colleague Alec and I are actively finalizing the details at our new location. The process has brought us different types of challenges, taking us beyond our regular consulting work to become part-time logistics coordinators, amateur interior designers, and, occasionally, furniture movers with strong opinions on desk layouts.
One of the more unexpected challenges was clearing out the storage rooms. None of us had any idea what kind of forgotten treasures were hiding there. Somewhere between dust clouds and mystery cables, I unearthed relics like our Principal Partner Jason’s old Wii U and reminders of grand plans — such as a theatre-level audio system for the unluckily timed public training facility that was scheduled to open the week after the first COVID lockdown was announced.
And of course, no office move is complete without the endless stream of decisions: Which chairs will complement the new carpet? How many desks can we fit without turning the space into a maze? And perhaps most importantly, how many whiteboards are too many? (We’ve decided that three six-foot whiteboards is the sweet spot before it feels like a dry-erase jungle.)
We’re incredibly excited to welcome everyone to the new space – a modern office with more light and plenty of huddle rooms for collaboration, creativity, or simply finding a cozy corner to think. The Ballston office will be in a convenient location for account leaders and consultants to enjoy working lunches and happy hours with DC-area clients and partners. We can’t wait to make it our own and to share it with you all.
